This gift for hospitality continues a family tradition that began with the Anglers Haven Hotel in Kilmacrennan, County Donegal in the 1920’s in the newly independent Republic of Ireland, then known as the ‘Irish Free State’. His maternal ancestors and family, the Cullens, ran the premises as a Temperance Hotel, before selling it in the 1990’s.
